Grad School Improv is a collection of current and past UBC improvisers who have been given a WEEKLY spot performing improv comedy at Seven Dining Lounge (53 West Broadway). This will be a hilarious improv show from 8:00pm-10:00pm every Tuesday for only $4! That's less than a grande mocha! Every week you'll see a collection of fun games, scenes, and some bigger long-form pieces. So, on Tuesdays at 8:00, head on down to Seven Dining Lounge (formerly the Kozmik Zoo). Instant Theatre has been on the cutting edge of improvisation in Vancouver for the last two decades. They've recently reborn like a Phoenix and are taking the city by storm. They produce high-quality shows in a variety of styles, offer classes for performers at all levels and now have a new home base called The Instant Shop. Check 'em out!

The final word on improv in Vancouver, The Sunday Service is made up of five of the best improvisers in town: Taz VanRassel, Ryan Beil, Aaron Read, and Caitlin Howden, with musical accompaniment from the incomparable Emmett Hall. They perform their trademark combination of short form games and open long form every Sunday. The show is always a blast and special guests from all around North America pop up on a regular basis. Dead Parrots Society
Founded in 1998, Western Washington University's own DEAD PARROTS SOCIETY is WWU's improv comedy troupe. The Parrots are Western students who perform regularly throughout the year and around the Pacific Northwest. They perform Improvisational Theatre; the fine art of performing hilarious scenes at the drop of a hat. If you enjoy comedy, gut-wrenching storytelling, and the occasional witty banter, then you need to come out to see the Parrots do what they do best!
A creative collective currently comprised of eight ultra-funny-minds, including no fewer than four former UBC Improv presidents, Pump Trolley is a comedy tsunami. They are focused on providing the very best live sketch show in Western Canada. In addition to their bi-monthly show at the China Cloud Theatre, Pump Trolley has performed at things like the Vancouver International Improv Festival, Olio Festival, Victory Square Block Party and Theatre Under the Gun Fesitval.
