News and Updates:

UBC Improv is currently in its annual summer hibernation. But don't fret, we will be back faster and more furious than ever come September. Stay tuned for upcoming info and the new website.

About us:

UBCi is a power-packed comedy juggernaut that assaults all that is dreary and unimaginative about the post-secondary experience. Stealing stories from the doldrums of the uninspired, we improvise a theatrical rollercoaster that does not comply with any of British Columbia's safety standards.

Twice a month, in the hallowed hall known simply as Scarfe 100, the teams perform for a mere $2. Not one audience member has ever left unsatisfied.

Annually, the club amps up the funny-volume with the UBC Improv Tournament, featuring a competitive format that pits the cities finest against various stand outs from around UBC.

We're not afraid to spread the love to the club's members. Auditions for the teams are held just as the year is taking off its training wheels, usually at the end of September. Members show us their good financial sense by purchasing a bargain $10 membership. What do they get for that fine deal? Nothing less than access to all of the teams' shows, an expenses-paid invite to the club's ritzy year-end dinner, and a cacophony of other exciting events. As if that isn't enough, we also hold free workshops that all of wonderful members are encouraged to attend, regardless of experience with improv, theatre, or speech.
